This was a very pleasant experience: we were aiming for a classic Rijstafel menu and that was what we got, with a good selection of little dishes accompanied by a generous portion of rice. The standout tastes were the pork and the fish croquettes (extra, not on the standard menu), and the delicious peanut sauce accompanying the satay and our prawn crackers. Some of the meat was a bit gristly, and the chicken and one beef dish were a little bland. The restaurant was full, with lots of Dutch as well as tourists, so clearly a hit with the locals. Efficient service, reasonable prices, but not quite the explosion of exotic taste that we had hoped for.
